Regional (Utah Market) Field Technician

Primary Responsibilities TheRegional Field Technician is expected to Protect the legal financial and moral well being of the Larry H.
Miller Group of Companies Support the IT infrastructure for an assigned region to ensure enduser productivity Independently performs troubleshooting maintenance repair and installation activities such as assembling and installing new computer equipment or units of local area networks requiring use of standard interface protocols Assists in installation and cabling user support backups and maintenance of documentation Be a teacher to support the efforts of other employees to be successful Seek ways to improve business operations efficiencies and customer service.
Primary Duties Ensure maximum productivity and enduser service.
Troubleshoot repair maintain install and perform testing activities on various computer equipment peripherals data communication and computer network systems.
Assemble install configure and test computer equipment or units of local area networks requiring use of standard interface protocols.
Complete work orders such as installing equipment connecting and moving devices or creating components of autonomous networks installing disk drives correcting definitions on data switches protocol converters etc.
Maintain software and hardware inventory and tracking systems develop inventory lists and order stock and store electronic components.
Ensure server backups and networked user backups are performed on a regular basis.
Provide support to users relating to both hardware and software problems on their personal computers.
Perform preventive maintenance for computer data communication andor peripheral equipment test and adjust to appropriate standards.
Customer Service.
Communicate with endusers to understand their needs and educationtrain on applicable hardware or systems to ensure satisfaction.
Build rapport with endusers to establish trust and respect.

Job Qualifications Minimum of years extensive PC experience Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and products Extensive knowledge of general Windows systemsapplications Basic Windows domain experience Experience or knowledge with installation of PC and network hardware and software Knowledge of network and impact printer systems Wireless network equipment Knowledge of CAT cabling Knowledge of audio and video equipment Professional communication skills Preferred Qualifications A Certification Knowledge of Cisco phone systems or IPT experience ADP Dealer Services network andor hardware experience LINUXUNIX experience Physical Requirements This individual will be responsible for the dealerships in CityState.
The applicant must have reliable transportation a clean driving record a valid driver license and be willing to work oncall nights and weekends.
The applicant will also need to have the physical ability to lift at least lbs.
and work in tight spaces underneath desks on roofs etc.

Work performed in an Information Technology office and dealership settings Regularly required to sit stand bend reach and move about facilities including under desks on roofs etc.
