Facility Maintenance Engineer

POSITION Facility Maintenance Engineer DEPARTMENT Engineering REPORTS TO Assistant Chief Engineer FLSA STATUS Hourly NonExempt Pay.
Start Date July st Summary ASM the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for the Facility Engineer for ASMMountain America Exposition Center.
Responsible for Maintaining in good working condition for all facility equipment including HVAC plumbing and electrical plants lighting and climate control systems roofing systems telecommunications maintenance cleaning equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Repairs and maintains all facility systems and equipment.
Inspects systems throughout facility to detect malfunctions or breakdowns.
Investigates malfunctions or breakdowns of systems to diagnose causes and locate the source of the problem.
Implements corrective actions and solutions.
Anticipates potential malfunctions or breakdowns and takes appropriate action to prevent or minimize curtailment of services.
Operates auxiliary supply systems when a breakdown occurs.
Coordinates shutdown and startups of utilities when conditions require it.
Follows procedures for use of work orders using Altum.
Adheres to OSHA NFPA and other applicable safety codes.
Installation of Telephone and Internet lines for exhibitors.
Monitor and change temperature using the Building Management System BMS.
Install temporary utilities for exhibitors.
Assist with removal of snow and ice from around the facility.
Assist with mowing weeding and edging Changing of lamps ballasts and fixtures around the facility.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

High school diploma or equivalent.
Technical school training in HVAC andor electrical fields preferred.
to years experience in a convention center hotel hospital or hospitality environment.
Possess a valid Utah drivers license.
Ability to read and speak English proficiently ability to speak and understand Spanish a plus.
Must be able to work weekends holidays days and evening shifts as events dictate.
Skills and Abilities Position requires heavy lifting climbing carrying stooping crawling and equipment operation.
This position requires work both indoors and out and is subject to adverse conditions.
Excellent organization skills Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously Good written verbal and interpersonal skills required ability to interact with all levels of staff including management Professional presentation appearance and work ethic Ability to work irregular extended rotating hours including nights weekends and holidays as required.
Have sufficient computer skills to operate BMS or other automated systems Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
