Commercial Construction Superintendent
Job Description
Supervise the field construction of a project including coordination of man-power, materials, equipment to complete project timely, with quality standards specified and within budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities
Scheduling/coordinating of man-power, materials, equipment, etc to work harmoniously, effectively and timely. To identify schedule critical path, milestones, and update/maintain 3-week look-ahead schedule on a weekly basis. Project documentation including daily reports, rfi's, schedules, photos, meeting notes, etc. Review/approve subcontractors monthly requests for payments. To run the weekly site coordination meeting with owner, architect, project manager, etc. Maintain safe worksite, promote safety, hold tool-box training meetings, etc.
Qualifications
Must have experience with projects up to $3M. Must be able to read drawings, specifications, contracts, subcontracts, addenda, etc and gain a complete knowledge and understanding of the project scope of work.
Safety certificates including CPR/AED, OSHA 30hr, etc are encouraged.
Computer, tablet, smartphone literate. We use a web-based project management system and tablet/phone apps for same.
Maintain good relations and communications with all involved with project.
