Electrical Power Engineer/Designer

The ideal candidate will be experienced in heavy industry power systems and able to perform detail design of medium to high voltage substations. This candidate would be responsible for acting as the project engineer in support of in-house design bid build projects.
Duties:
1. Responsible for developing and leading all aspects of high voltage substation design (from the 4,16kV to 138kV levels) and substation component design.
2. Prepares detailed electrical engineering analysis and calculations. Design and development of plans, single line diagrams, schematics, conduit and cable sizing/routing, substation layout using AutoCAD.
3. Specifications and cost estimates, in support of in-house and Architect/Engineer design bid build and design build projects.
4. Reviews technical data (i.e. electrical plans, specifications, cost estimates, etc.) submitted by outside firms for technical adequacy to ensure compliance with applicable criteria and codes.
5. Confers with construction contractors and designers to resolve problems/latent conditions that may arise during and after construction.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field as well as 5 years of substation design experience. (Willing to accept a suitable combination of education, training and/or experience to satisfy the requirements)
2. Demonstrated expertise using the latest versions of AutoCAD to prepare complete design packages.
3. Demonstrated expertise working with Power Systems Studies i.e. Integrated Grounding System, Transient Analysis, Short Circuit/Load Flow (SKM), Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP).
4. Demonstrated expertise performing calculations for protection coordination of high voltage substations and relay settings of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) and General Electric (GE) relays.
5. Demonstrated expertise with codes and standards applicable to high voltage substations such as National Electric Code (NEC), National Electric and Safety Code (NESC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
