Sr. Software Engineer
The Sr.
Software Engineer position is part of the product design and engineering team at Centershift.
The position is a full time, exempt position in the Salt Lake City Centershift offices.
Compensation to be determined based on experience.
Duties include development of commercial software using VB.
Net, C#, Oracle PL/SQL, and other third party development tools to produce MS.
Net apps and web based, HTML5 and SOA products and services.
The role will primarily include design, architecture, programming and development activities but may also require customer facing support, interaction, and training and documentation.
This position also requires mentoring and training of junior level employee(s) functioning in similar development roles.
This position may require occasional travel.
This position is not a management level position.
The primary job functions are:
Provide analysis, design, leadership within the development group through proven, experienced approaches to problem and business domain modeling, database design, SOA architecture principles and general OO software engineering expertise.
Work as a member of a Scrum team and within the overall engineering group to successfully implement business logic and functionality otherwise supported in Centershift commercial applications, (Store Enterprise and Store Advantage).
Work closely with product owners, scrum master, and the product manager and account managers to meet business requirements within acceptable timeframes and business constraints.
Work within an Agile/Scrum methodology.
Bring energy and optimism to inspire and drive others to work better and smarter.
Bring demonstrated skills regarding the development of testable and scalable software.
Skills and
Qualifications:
5
years experience with commercial project development/programming.
Experience with Visual Studio developing windows forms applications, web services, and web applications.
Solid experience developing web services, experience with SOA approaches and protocols.
Understanding of, and experience doing test-driven development.
Solid understanding of relational database concepts and significant experience using Oracle (preferred) or other major RDBMS systems.
Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum approach to software development.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
College Degree strongly preferred.
