POSITION DETAILS Position Summary The Sr. Project Engineer approves and releases customer submittal drawings, material specifications, and service details to define product commitments. The position interfaces and directs engineering resource to generate designs, weld procedures, material selections, calculations, manufacturing drawings, and production Bills of Material in compliance with project commitments and customer specifications. The incumbent will be required to travel to customer locations domestically and internationally, as needed, and will need to maintain an active passport and any required visas for travel. This position has the responsibility of representing DeltaValve Engineering in the technical support of Delayed Coker product lines. It is the role of the Sr. Project Engineers to interface with internal and external stakeholders and assist them in addressing project technical concerns and needs. Project Engineers will interpret customer specifications, attend project kick-off meetings, and effectively communicate and negotiate discrepant points. The Project Engineer is responsible for management of scope of standard product offerings to eliminate unnecessary work and reduce commercial costs. Principal Activities Provides guidance and expertise in mechanical engineering to design complex mechanical equipment and systems and to investigate, evaluate and develop new applications for existing equipment and systems. Analyzes assigned tasks to provide estimates of manpower and material required to support the project schedules. Prepares engineering specific schedules for accomplishing tasks accurately and on time. Evaluates operational systems and designs modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements. Plans, organizes, and conducts the development of each assignment; coordinates manpower assigned to each activity and coordinates the activities of group involved in various stages of overall program to ensure effective integration. Provides technical guidance to internal stakeholders and customers to ensure sound engineering principles are applied and required specifications have been utilized to the design of fabrication drawings and customer solutions. Responsible to accurately Develop, release and maintain documentation in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Reviews, writes, and edits reports such as evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, etc. to provide recommendations, conclusions and other data. May direct field operation and maintenance activities of mechanical equipment/systems installations. Mentors peers and strives to further knowledge and understanding to improve skills. JOB REQUIREMENTS CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of blue prints/schematics, piping drawings, site elevation drawings, manufacturing prints and drafting knowledge. (ANSI Y14.5.) Understanding of Bill of Material structuring. Microsoft Office experience. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.) Familiar with Solidworks. Understanding of manufacturing practices and processes. Ability to work in a positive, professional, respectful, and collaborative manner with all stakeholders with minimal supervision. Work with tight timelines, prioritizing tasks in a challenging and dynamic environment. Able to negotiate, persuade, and build consensus. Convey confidence, comprehension, and technical competency. Familiar with applications in hazardous areas with potentially explosive atmospheres a plus. Ability to manage projects with a proven track record of achieving deliverable milestones. Ability to boil down complex concepts into simple terms. years of engineering experience in valve, petrochemical process, or related industries, and experience working in a manufacturing environment strongly desired Minimum 10 years of experience in project/application engineering role Experience in Oil and Gas applications a plus Preference given to applicants that possess a Professional Engineering License in Mechanical Engineering Experience with ASME B31.3 Piping code and ASME BPVC VIII div 1 and 2 code Experience writing technical documents including Installation and Operations Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Procedures, professionally written informal communications Experience working with foreign customers across multiple cultures and varying value systems

$80K -- $100K
