Graphic Designer
Academy Mortgage Corporation is seeking a Graphic Designer to join our growing Marketing team, headquartered in Sandy, Utah.
Role
The Graphic Designer designs and prepares artwork and other promotional materials for the company, designs layouts of artwork using manual and computer graphics, produces materials including newsletters, brochures, and annual reports to enhance the company's image and brand, works in collaboration with other members of the Marketing Team to determine design and composition of graphic arts media and estimate production costs, coordinates with outside agencies and printers to complete graphic design projects, and attends design workshops, reviews professional publications, and participates in professional societies to stay current with trends in graphic arts media, design, and marketing.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Designs and prepares artwork and other promotional materials for the company
Designs layouts of artwork, using manual and computer graphics
Produces materials, including newsletters, brochures, and annual reports to enhance the company's image and brand
In collaboration with other members of the Marketing Team, determines design and composition of graphic arts media, and estimates production costs
Coordinates with outside agencies and printers to complete graphic design projects
Attends design workshops, reviews professional publications, and participates in professional societies to stay current with trends in graphic arts media, design, and marketing

3-5 years' similar or related experience
A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required
Work normally involves contacts with persons beyond immediate associates generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require some discussion; external contacts take the form of service to the public (customers or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in providing assistance and exchanging factual information
Requires effective communication with customers and/or other employees using common telecommunications equipment and computer equipment
Must be able to read, examine, and organize documents in English
May require the ability to sit, stand, and walk around for extended periods of time
May also require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Position will often be in a busy office environment:
the ability to multitask and focus in this environment is essential
