This position is responsible for pre and post sales of service contracts provide technical support to consultants, contractors and end-users for Harman Professional networked audio products.
Support the selling and execution of service contract to new and/or older projects
Provide high-level technical expertise to both sales and clients worldwide; responds to situations where standard procedures have failed to isolate or fix problems.
Working closely with sales and the Product and Application Support to ensure continuous growth in selling service
Provides high-level technical expertise to all stakeholders of both large and medium scale networked audio systems.
Makes design recommendations to said stakeholders on best practice and correct utilization of Harman Professional equipment.
Troubleshoot networked audio systems to satisfactory resolution.
Interpret technical specifications and system scope narratives to determine the system functional and Graphical User Interface requirements.
Interpret technical system drawings to determine the correct products and their configuration for connection to other equipment.
Assists inside and outside sales personnel with understanding technical specifications and scope narratives.
Assists inside and outside sales personnel with 'flipping' competitor's job bids.
Helps the technical customer services group develop collateral material to aide in the understanding of highly technical concepts.
Provides assistance with third-party control systems programmers interacting with BSS and Harman Professional equipment.
Reports software bugs and hardware problems back to Engineering through approved channels and tools.
Works with other Harman colleagues around the world to provide best-in-class support on a global scale.
Meets with potential and existing clients to showcase Harman Professional solutions and products.
Develops standardized training programs to be implemented by sales partners; provides on-site training and demonstrations to both sales partners and potential clients, worldwide.
Works with customers and sales partners to arrange training classes to meet with schedule demands; maintains flexibility to meet the needs of customers.
Provides product demonstrations at industry trade shows worldwide.
Exercises judgment within defined practices and policies in selecting best methods and/or techniques for solving problems and obtaining solutions for the customer.
Helps provide direction to internal technical support team.
Education/
Experience:
This position requires Associate Arts degree in a related field plus five plus years' experience in the professional audio industry

Switches
Routers
LAN / WAN
DSP
Open architecture software exp
